We are building a Community Garden! We are so excited to let everyone in the community know that we are in the process of building a community garden to help feed God's hungry people and to build community. It is our goal to help address the desperate need of those who are food challenged in our community, grow healthy food, build relationships with members of the community, and to educate people on the many and amazingly simply ways to grow their own food. As Christians we are called upon to put our faith into action. Jesus tells us to "Feed His Sheep" This is one way that we can meet both goals and we would love to have you get involved. We need people to help us water, advertise, and help us organize educational gardening events. It is our goal to help members of our community learn how to grow health food in limited space, hydroponically, and by using recycled containers.
Currently, we are finishing phase one of our project. Phase one has included preparing our space, leveling the ground, building a fence, making portable benches, and planting of a few "garden bags". We have also placed shade protectors over the garden and created a sign. Phase two is about to begin and that will include public discussion around gardening from the Extension Service, local farmers and other wonderful gardening resources. Events will be posted on our Facebook page and this website.
If you would like to get involved in this amazing ministry, please contact us by clicking the button below, or by calling us at our posted phone number above. Let's make this community garden grow!

We come together as a community of faith to transform the teachings of Jesus into the actions of our daily lives. We are growing as disciples of our living God, by celebrating communion and by compassionately building community.

Come join us as we affirm that the "Church" is not a building, but rather the people of God coming together to share their faith. We believe that God's love is big enough and broad enough to welcome everyone and we mean Everyone, into the love of Christ. We seek to live out our faith by joining together as Jesus' disciples to feed the hungry, befriend the lonely, help those in need, reach out to the community, welcome all generations, engage in ministries that reflect the love and good news of the gospel, share our faith, and join together in worship that includes uplifting music, meaningful messages, and active life-chagning ministries.
"As Christians, we are taught and led every day by Jesus. Racism is the opposite of what God intends for humanity. Racism is a sin against our fellow human beings, for it says that some people are less than others. We are ready to show up with open eyes, open hearts, and open minds to be instruments of the transformation for justice and healing. Community Congregational Church, United Church of Christ is committed to stand against, speak against and work against racism."
God's LOVE is for ALL!
We welcome you if you are gay or straight or a little bit of each. Black, brown, white or a little bit of each. Rich, broke or a little bit of each. Believing, questioning, or a little bit of each. Young, old, or a little bit of each. All are welcome here..
...is to help each other explore our relationship with God and improve the other meaningful relationships in our lives. We are called to be living instruments of God's peace and examples of Jesus' love. Our mission is to reach out to our community, neighbors, fellow believers, and the world to share the love and acceptance of Christ to all.
We believe that Jesus Christ is the head of our church. We are each on a journey to better understand our relationship with God and to learn to be better disciples. No one has all the answers. But if we study the scripture, pray together, share our faith, and work to put the teachings of Jesus Christ into action, we will be guided on our journey by the power of the Holy Spirit.
